ABOLISH THE POLICE
ATLANTA --- We should have our right to safety. Under current systems; we cannot collectively claim such to be true. Not only is this true because our capitalistic society hatefully/violently enforces horrors upon us as normal; but muchly because our policing efforts are grotesquely backwards / racist / classist; & our officers authorized by a permissive state to flippantly open fire upon anyone who dare try outrun potential murderers.
We need disassemble each part of this sick system; even those built up with well intentions(while all the while ignoring the fundamentally broken core / aim). We the people have long realized the flaws of our departments yet steadfastly our protocol & outcomes either maintain sick statistics or worsen them.
No public safety official shall wield lethal force.
Wherever our policing budget gets redirected will be focused on reparative efforts foremostly, actually tackling the cause of the majority of crime ~ poverty. In disarming; safety officials carrying out their tasks have by default descelated many situations. No one needs to be seen any harm done to them in a reasonable humane society. So many of our altercations can be resolved with dialog/positive action rather than the immediate area becoming a warzone.
We will put our vast resources/workforce on a path which sees inequality treated / eradicated rather than penalized/expanded. We will have less petty criminal charges going through our courts, because more of the public needs will be sufficiently met for a change. Most important to note here: a future administration working towards the goal of alexb4mayor campaign would not just throw money at the problem while leaving current establishment foundational rot in place(something I worry current my peers / contenders might support most neoliberally).
