ENSURING ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
ATLANTA -- Atlantas natural sectors are abused year after year under current sick norms. We seem to systemically accept the fact that millions of gallons of saw sewage leak into our rivers every year because of inadequate watershed infrastructure maintenance. The alexb4mayor campaign's vision for a cleaner world is open bounties on any space blighted with pollution. 'Planet scouts' working directly for the city seeking / rehabilitating any natural space sullied by the waste of man & corporate corner cutting.
We can update our wastewater structure to the point where our doody water is doing 0% polluting; where we plug up & find the source of all the leaking waste holes, every dumpsite and roadside cleaned up & kept clean with well paid city jobs. We will also improve our initiative caring for our trees/ /shrubs. we will encourage natural beauty in all our green spaces. Moss & stuff. We can look at where our emissions are coming from and collectively focus on seeing about overhauling systems to be 0 emission.
Nasty trashed toxified land/water is injustice not just to our planet but also for our denizens. Contaminated air & water disproportionately impacts our poor populations with health problems which we currently expect the poor to ignore or go into debt treating chronic conditions as a result of improper safety/pollution standards & gross 'for profit' healthcare systems.
By making small jobs out of improving what remains of this city's natural beauty; we can respectfully preserve & rehabilitate where needed(as in where is totally steadfastly neglected); making jobs to directly improve life for everyone is pretty good public policy in this mayoral campaigns opinion..
