WE'LL HANDLE PUBLIC UTILITIES, THANKS
ATLANTA -- ...And another thing which the alexb4mayor campaign finds asinine yet widespread across our nation; private utility companies duopolizing / grossly capitalizing all over we citizens. Alex Barrella-candidate in the November 2nd 2021 election for Mayor of Atlanta-knows that if we collectively owned our own power grid, our own internet/mobile services, our own gasses, liquids & so on; we would be a more equitable, unfuxed society indeed.
Not only will we be creating top tier systems which can be built out to cover 100% of our city; but we will be able to do so via universally funding them. By making the price of each service collectively footed; we can take the burden of monthly bills off our impoverished residents. by creating a universal utility coverage grid we assure true equity in a way which would be nigh impossible with providers looking to profit or run things non-transparently.
Many cities run their own utilities already; east point has its own power service & even here in atlanta we already run public water/waste-works(which inarguably need massive modernizing/rehabilitating). By owning/open sourcing all these systems we can check/balance them for ethical compliance towards workers & environment alike. We can begin building out greener systems like wind, thermal & solar power. Since it is a collective; individuals could run/maintain their own utility junctions & be rewarded for providing to =the grid=
No more worrying about the gas company coming in the dead of winter to shut off heat from your nana; nor going into collections with your ISP because it isn't currently uncommon for people to go into debt to pay for basic life necessities..Here at alexb4mayor we're pretty positive that healthcare counts as a utility too.
