LOWERING LIGHT POLLUTION & THE DARKENING DARKNESS
ATLANTA -- Cities of today are too damn bright. This candidacy has a vision of night skies made clearer by working to develop & implement design which sees all our summoned illumination fade out before reaching higher skies. we would also work to develop city material surfaces which more effectively absorb light rather than bouncing it sky
One time i envisioned developing a bulb that somehow physically removes light from the area of influence; some sort of anti-light bulb. While it is doubtful this half-baked idea might be feasible~ such ideas are welcome in future atlanta planning / development sessions.
Until we can reach virtual lightlessness at night; the city can engage in times of recreational blackout' where power will remain but all unnecessary lighting will be turned off to allow darkness to 'swallow this city if even for a temporary bit of time every several months. We could do it during new moons too while lightly playing royalty free metal music over speakers around the city.
