ZERO AD SKYLINES
ATLANTA --- One idea which candidate Alex Barrella heartily believes in is that it should be possible to democratize the visual makeup of our skyline. If we had legislation which made billboards illegal structures; which made it so if a building has a giant logo on the side the purpose of that building must include primarily housing said brands operations.
These tricky calls will have to be openly debated & voted on to keep the process democratic & open. I believe by visually unpolluting our cityscape we will de-cheapen our environment. We will be subtly peddling the message that taking up public space simply to profit off of people's attention or subconscious. This rule will apply to for-profit postings (so as not to step on the right of people to advertise community programs/business on a grassroot level)
