    MORE OFFICERS? NOFFICERS

ATLANTA --- keisha bottoms & felicia moore(both established political actors on this stage) have terribad ideas on how we as a society should approach the serious task of crime-reduction / ensuring a 'safe for ongoing-living' city. facing rising incidents of violent crime; these two candidates & our establishment at large have the *ahem*pig-headed idea that more policing is the answer. this candidacy, in contrast, knows that it is long past time to discard the foundational-failings of our law enforcement institutions which sees their primary purpose to terrorize poor communities with hateful unnecessary militaristic violence. if we hope to see different results we must radically rethink our approach to public safety from targeting primarily crimes of desperation/poverty to focusing efforts on stopping abusers of power & violators of protected civil rights. to actually address the high incidence of crime we are seeing; we must recognize that if we would provide a raised basic level of civil rights to all & assure our denizens needs are met regardless of economic standing; we would see drastic reductions of aforementioned crimes. the state of the city address this past week saw keisha misrepresenting our reality via talking around our issues & pushing solutions which represent more of the same policy failings which leaves our city steadfast in a state of extreme grotesque inequity by design. she hopes to expand our police force while offering reforms which do little to protect the vulnerable from the protocols of our misguided police who are all too authorized to use excessive~lethal~force. it is sickening the lack of editorial pushback/criticism of these disastrous aims to vapidly STRENGTHEN our police state rather than dismantle it. we are led to think it is fine that the only 2 candidates our media is presenting us both align on the same side of this issue: siding with the police state rather than with public sentiment. this should be a huge red flag that these candidates appear to be splitting hairs while offering similar paths forward. we should recognize that our problems will not be solved by those currently entrenched in power(as council leader and city executive very much are); but by we the people. we must work to place in power someone who recognizes more of the same style politics won't be solving steadfastly societal issues because the establishment benefits off the currently(purposefully) broken status quo. by making a government for people rather than for corporations; we will enable the creation of a society which works for people rather than corporations(seems pretty obvious). this all goes with my earlier release: abolish the police; but i gots plenty of words on this matter as a matter of fax.
